The Parts I'm Keeping by Tamara Galiano

$350.00

sculpture; 18×38inches

"The Parts I’m Keeping" was made during a time of change and transition, where I found myself dismantling old sculptures while also working to let go of the past. Deciding what parts are worth hanging on to and what to let go of is crucial to both processes, so I used that as a jumping off point to create this sculpture. By keeping my favorite elements, many of them tokens and symbols for parts of myself, and suspending them from a grid structure, I hoped to evoke something curious, joyful, evolving, but not quite finished: an altar to evolution and new beginnings.
