The Blue Hawk- (The Brave One) by Shanny Kohli
22 x 30 inches;
Acrylic paint on wooden panel;
2025
The artwork (The Blue Hawk) signifies the presence of ancestral power. The work is in conversation with multiple directions which imbue questioning the colonizers and the one and only powerful nature. The artwork is a mix of imaginative untold narratives of the undivided Punjab and post-colonialism. The many different elements in the work collide with one another and yet is undivided at the same time. The Hawk also reminds us of the visible and the invisible world migrating towards a hopeful liberated future.
