Vessel & Eggs is a part of a series of vessels studying egg bearing entities, this piece representing egg deposits in the natural world. This vessel mimics the textures of a tree and the eggs that might be hidden within bark. The barky layers are peeling away, creating openings for the eggs to crack open and escape. The piece was fired first in a soda/gas kiln, then fired again in a wood kiln.
