Eno River by Claudia Fulshaw

$750.00

Acrylic, Hand-cut paper, assemblage; 36×24inches

Claudia creates abstract topographic maps of trails, rivers, and roadways. The design process involves first creating an abstract background painting. Then, the trail, river or roadway is drawn and hand-cut using an Xacto knife. Next, Claudia organically hand-cuts each of the individual contour lines and “rebuilds” the painting by assembling and glueing each piece in place onto a wood panel frame. Each piece becomes a calming meditation of the geography it symbolizes.
