The piece captures the interplay between a painted mural dancer and the utility pole shadows cast by the sun on the wall. In capturing the image, I set up my tripod in the middle of Ninth Street on a not-so-busy afternoon and waited for the shadow to move to just the right spot for the dancer to grab it.
