The interior of the piece is made of shredded pages of Georgia Magazine which my grandmother started, edited, and published, much of it done from her dining room table. I have a full set of bound volumes. The pages in this piece are from extra magazines. They are incased in handmade paper. The tear reveals fragments inside that hint at a deeper, weightier, complex story.
