Bewilderness V1 by Meg Stein
96×60×6 inches; Ceramic; all pieces sold individually
B E W I L D E R N E S S v. 1 is about our collective and individual lived experiences and how those experiences are wilder than we may realize. This site-specific wall installation shows a larger-than-life representation of my physical form, which is filled with inventive amalgamations, pulling vocabulary from the natural world, animal bodies (including our own), geology, underwater life and more. This work invites audiences to consider the connections between our wild internal and external environments—our emotional, spiritual, and intellectual landscapes and the natural world. It invites consideration into how our experiences are interconnected with other people’s experiences and with the wider ecosystems that we exist within.
