As the Tide Comes In by Cassie Adams

Ebb + Flow: An exploration of the tides
In this body of work, Cassie Adams draws deep inspiration from her connection to the ocean. Influenced by the rhythm of her favorite summer tunes and the meditative process of painting, Adams allows the movement of water itself to guide her use of material. As pigment drifts abound the canvas, settles and absorbs, it mimics the qualities of the tide leaving behind organic traces of material.
This body of work reflects an intimate observation of the sea: its color, its sound, and the constant ebb and flow that shapes the shoreline. Like seafoam residue and fragments of shells swept along the tideline, each painting captures a fleeting moment both spontaneous and deliberate. These pieces offer a visual meditation on transience, movement, and the quiet power of nature’s cycles.
