Our February Moderator is

Gayle Stott Lowry.
Gayle Stott Lowry, painter, is drawn to things that are worn or scarred, living with uncertainty and places where life is adverse, and survival is difficult.  Her paintings chronicle an emotional journey as much as the landscapes and architectural renderings she explores which become embodiments of the human condition. Gayle studied at East Carolina University and studied under internationally known artists, Wolf Kahn and Sidney Goodman. Gayles work is included in the Permanent Collection of the North Carolina Museum of Art and in corporate collections, including the City of Raleigh, Rex Hospital, North Carolina Heart and Vascular Center, Glaxo Smith Kline, SAS Institute, Progress Energy and IBM.  She has been awarded a residency at the Vermont Studio Center and a United Arts Council Project Grant.

Past Moderators: Clarence Heyward, Jonh Blanco, Stacy Bloom Rexrode
